Offering: Our investors will fund the planting of 3000 acres of our Empress Splendor trees, the fastest-growing tree in the world, reaching hardwood maturing in only 10 years. This amazing tree is non-GMO, non-invasive and is one of the most efficient trees on the planet at sequestering carbon, returning nitrogen to depleted soils and providing nectar for honeybees. We provide the trees for free to small-scale farmers in select regions of North and Latin America who work with us for the 10 year growing cycle to grow the best lumber possible. We then split any profits from the sale of the lumber 50% with the farmer, and 25% to the investors and 25% to the company. The trees are then owned 100% by the farmers who can benefit from future harvests of the trees which will regrow from the same root system up to 7 more times.

Terms: The current offering is available in units of $2,500, at $1.25 per share. For each unit invested, we will plant the equivalent of one acre of trees inside the 2020 planting season, dispersed across our planting locations. The price will increase to $3,000 once the first $2.5 million is funded.

Anecdote: When 77-year-old farmer Jean Whitaker from Georgia lost her entire 37-acre crop of pine trees to Hurricane Michael last year, she experienced tremendous economic uncertainty. But now thanks to her new crop of Empress trees she has recently planted with World Tree, Jean has tangible hope she will see a return on her crop in her lifetime.
