Hi Devin, What great tips! I am toying with ideas to buy an EV, but am waiting for one that can get us to Chicago in 2 days. My suspicion is there are few EVs with the range required to reach Chicago in that time. I like being an early adopter - my first new car was a Mazda RX-3 with a rotary engine. Later traded it in on a Mazda RX-4. In those cars, range was not a problem. I also do not like to drive slowly, like someone else I know...Thank you for a great article!
Thanks for all your fantastic tips. Some of these were new to me even after owning an EV for 18 months. By using subscriber solar through RMP, our cost/kWH is .11, so that translates to .05/mile in average city driving. Having the Tesla charging available to nonTeslas will increase range options.
