Press Release – Brooklyn, NY–On Tuesday November 27th, Brooklyn Community Foundation launched their most ambitious donation challenge to date–a $1Million giving campaign supporting nearly 100 organizations across Brooklyn. The marathon day of giving kicked off at an event in Downtown Brooklyn, featuring a rousing speech from Congresswoman Nydia Velazquez followed by exhilarating panels comprised of some of Brooklyn’s finest thought leaders including NY1’s Errol Louis, Activist and Brooklyn Community Foundation Fellow, Heather McGhee, Melanie Samuels of the Bed-Stuy Against Hunger and many more.
